Poker Run 2010

Yes, it's that time of the year again.

Time for the annual Toyota Car Club .net Poker Run.

After seeing a run to the northern wineries and the Eastern Hills in the past few years, this year we will be returning to a tour South taking in the Fantastic Fleurieu Peninsula.

The initial meeting point will be at the Jubilee Park Adventure Playground located just off Saltfleet Street at Port Noarlunga on the Southern Banks of the Onkaparinga River. This is a great location to start the day off.

You will need to meet at around 10:30am to allow an 11:00am departure as it will be a tight schedule to fit the stops at the best events, roads, scenery and locations the Fleurieu has to offer before the 5pm finish at a scenic McLaren Vale Winery.

So, bring the family, pack the car and be prepared for an entertaining day out with your friendly Toyota Brethren. Non-members are more than welcome to join in the fun.

The cost of the event is $5 buyin per hand (you can buy as many hands as you wish including none if you're that way inclined). For this $5, you get 1 card at each stop of the day. At the final stop, there will be an option to purchase 'extra' cards, but be warned as the price increases exponentially with each card purchase (ie: 6th card $2, 7th=$4, 8th=$8, etc).

The best hand at the end of the day takes home half the pot with the other half going towards the club. There may also be other mystery prizes throughout the day. And the best performing club member will also take hold of the highly soughtafter pissed-on cup.

2009 Club Toys Motorkhana Run and Won

The Club Toys Motorkhana for 2009 held at Dubbo in conjunction with the Toyota Nationals has been run and won.

Thanks to all who made the treck over to Dubbo, all the entrants for being well behaved, the team that helped running the event and the Nationals organisers for inviting us back to hold the Motorkhana again this year.

The runs were tight with plenty of tyre frying action much to the spectators enjoyment.
The weather proved to be a challenge for drivers throwing up a good mix of wet and slippery and dry grippy surfaces throughout the day.
With times being close all day long, but in the end there could only be one winner.
The official results are as follows:

Best in Class:
4 Cyl RWD Fastest: Stephen Pembrey - AE86
4 Cyl RWD Runner Up: Shane Paton - Corolla
6 Cyl RWD Fastest: Teon Harasynmiv - JZA80
6 Cyl RWD Runner Up: Adam McNeil - MA70
AWD Fastest: Steve Wandell - Caldina
AWD Runner Up: Nathan Skelly - ST185
8 Cyl Fastest: Stewart White - MX83
8 Cyl Runner Up: Justen Simpson - Celica GT8
Fastest Femme: Bronwyn Kelly - IS200
Runner Up Femme: Vanessa Ford - AW11
